The InCommon project, through the workshops that were realized, tried to develop participants expression through art as well at their participation in artistic activities. Thus, one of the activities that they have organized had to do with learning and creating something new, what they have chosed was decoupage.
The idea behind the Decoupage class was that all of them, as ESTIA beneficiaries, are living in furnished houses in Larissa without having personal artifacts, since they have left their countries only with the essential that they could carry. Thus, when discussing with the training courses facilitators they came up with the idea of creating something personalized for their houses in order to feel more like home. The women themselves organized the course and DIMITRA education and Consulting and the Municipality of Larissa helped with providing material and venue for the activity.
The activity connects with level 4 of the Cultural Citizenship Scale because it was thought and organized by migrant women but can be applied to any level.
