Cantabria First steps is an Instagram profile created by a team participating in the InCommon project leadership course to share their experience and provide a friendly welcome to all newcomers to Cantabria.
In small posts they offer practical information on administrative procedures and community services but also resources on history, culture and tourism for a better social integration and enjoyment of the regional resources.
This intervention is framed on stages 3 and 4 of the Cultural Citizenship Scale. We talk about active women and with broad social networks, with the ability to manage themselves. These migrant women have become more active in different areas of citizenship: social, political, economic and cultural. They can receive occupational training or have a work experience. At some point, they can also play an active civic role (participation in local groups, political defense through associations, etc.).
