Finding balance both physically and emotionally is very important. The refugees and migrant women that took part at the InCommon workshops felt the need to organize an activity in order to “release some steam” and help other to do so as well. Yoga is a light activity that helps both the mind and body and this was exactly what the newly arrived refugee needed as an outlet. The activity also promoted socialization and in order to organize that the refugees used the leadership skills that they have developed during the InCommon courses.
The women themselves organized the course and DIMITRA education and Consulting and the Municipality of Larissa helped with providing material and venue for the activity.
The activity connects with level 2 of the Cultural Citizenship Scale.
