“Idia Gi” (Common Earth) – is a theatrical and dance performance created by Alma Dance Studio. The story of the performance is about the commonalities locals and migrants share, the so called “Common Earth”.
Most of the participating women have never been to a theatrical performance since language was a barrier. This performance was an excellent opportunity because expression was through dance and music which is a universal language. This activity opened up their creativity and introduced them to new leisure activities that they could enjoy. Moreover, the theme was relevant to InCommon goal. We all realized, locals and migrant women how many things we share and have in common regardless of religion, country of origin and color.
The performance took place in another city, Larnaca and a trip was organized by the women in collaboration with EDITC to watch a musical theatrical performance.
This activity is conected with stages 2 and 3 of the CCS.
