The third transnational meeting of GETIR project –European Manager of Intelligent and Responsible Territories– took place in Sofia (Bulgaria) on the 14th and 15th May 2012.
GETIR project seeks to create a professional profile of an Intelligent and Responsible Territories Manager, responding to the demand in the local development sector in the European market. In order to achieve this, GETIR partners are working on the development of an online training tool which will have five thematic areas that a GETIR Manager must domain:
1. Local Sustainable Development.
2. Social Capital.
3. Governance, Social Participation and Empowerment.
4. Knowledge Management and Social Territorial Responsibility.
5. New Technologies.
Once the partnership has developed the online training tool in English version, five experts from each partner country will validate the contents, the utility and the pedagogical approach of the tool which later, will be translated into the members’ national languages.
The target group for this training is experts in local development, training centres, political responsible of education training and employment from the project partners’ countries.
This meeting in Sofia was attended by members from Documenta (promoter of GETIR project), and representatives of the organizations Dimitra (Greece), the Bulgarian Development Agency, Folkuniversitetet (Sweden) and IREA (Romania).
Partners established the next steps regarding the contents of the online training tool; also the coordinator presented the leaflet which will be use to disseminate the project as well as the website (www.getir.eu). Finally, an evaluation of the first year of work was done and some financial issues were discussed.
Next meeting will take place in Timisoara (Romania) on the 17th and 18th December 2012. In addition to the meeting, there will be a final event with the participation of various experts and where the final version of the online training tool will be presented.
