Falun (Sweden) was the city chosen to host the third transnational meeting of PR-ERF project from 18 to 21 January 2015.
PR-ERF project is two year Leonardo Da Vinci Transfer of Innovation project whose aim is to develop a holistic methodology for recognition and development of 8 ERF Key Competences for personal assistants in healthcare sector. The proposed methodology will be linked to the level 4/5 of the NQF, to make it compatible with the requirements of Continuing Vocational Training.
This meeting marked a milestone in the project once finished the research and curriculum development stage. It begins a new stage in which the design of learning methodology, self-assessment tool and training platform are key activities.
The main objective is to achieve an innovative training method that suits different groups of students and meets national specificities at European level so it is important to be selective when choosing appropriate methods. The individual characteristics of learners, the different learning rhythms and styles or the specific requirements of CVET within the health sector are some of the criteria considered.
The aim is to develop a methodology in which the trainer can select the most suitable methods to each group and situation, and provide a result in line with qualification framework chosen.
To ensure the quality and accuracy of materials, both pedagogically and relevance to the needs of the labor market it has been established a parallel process of testing and validation with groups of experts in each participating country in the project.
The next meeting will be held in Greece in June in order to train the trainers who will participate in piloting.
