DOCUMENTA held on June 5th and 12th 2018, in Torrelavega and Santander respectively, the first information events for volunteers of the InCommon project, Cultural and Educational Interventions for the exercise of the Active Citizenship of Migrant Women.
The final goal of these events is the creation of a local network formed by volunteers, migrant women and social and cultural stakeholders. The starting point for the creation of this network is the involvement of the volunteers interested in being part of the project.
In the sessions the participants knew about the different stages of the project, partners, main objectives, work plan, beneficiaries, etc. Once the details of the project were explained in depth, a round of questions was opened for clarifying the role of the volunteer in the project: participation in activities, link between organizations and migrant women, acting as mediator/facilitator…
Finally, the attendees have been invited to participate in the intercultural training course that will take place in the coming weeks.
From Documenta we would like to thank the participants for their assistance, as well as CÁRITAS and AMICA for hosting the events in their premises.
