DOCUMENTA has submitted two proposals to the AMIF call of the European Commission in collaboration with the Santander City Council, with whom it has worked successfully on other occasions. The two projects are “RSC Strategy” (Local Strategy for the Inclusion and Integration of immigrants in Responsible Smart Cities) and “InCommon Hub” (Welcome Service and Support Networks for immigrants and refugees). Both proposals promote innovative inclusion methodologies, strengthening networking with different agents and authorities and promoting the improvement of integration procedures for immigrants in the host community.

This is not the first time that DOCUMENTA and the Santander City Council have collaborated together in the implementation of a project from this call. Previously it was with the “Mingle” project (Generating Social and Human Capital for immigrants), which turned out to be a success in terms of participation and objectives met.
Now, in the same line of work as the previous time, it is expected to work together again to improve, as far as possible, the area of integration of immigrants in the city. To do this, these two proposals are committed, on the one hand, to a local strategy that improves the effectiveness and efficiency of current inclusion and integration policies through the collaboration and involvement of multiple stakeholders, highlighting the participation of local authorities (RSC Strategy) and, on the other hand, the systematization of a continuous improvement model for effective access to basic resources by immigrants (InCommon Hub).
In the coming months, the approved proposals will be known, hoping that the two projects presented can be developed and implemented successfully.
