The third transnational meeting of GUIDE! (Good Guidance Stories) project was held on the 15th and 16th November 2012 in the Italian partner’s (CIOPS-FP) facilities in Rome. In this meeting, it was done a review of the project and the following steps that must be taken were established.
In addition, in this session, project partners presented the case studies they had developed during the previous months. These case studies will be used as training material by guidance practitioners in order to enhance them with some competences. The selection of the competences was based on the survey results. Under the frame on the project, partners carried out a survey that was answer by guidance practitioners in the countries of project partners in March 2012. Through the analysis of the survey results, we detected the competences that are best considered by the guidance practitioners to implement their daily work.
So that, the GUIDE! project partners have developed 6 case studies, each one about one competence:
• Gsub (Germany): Enable access information.
• City of Tampere (Finland): Update own skills and knowledge.
• Documenta (Spain): Communication and facilitation skills.
• Budapest Esély (Hungary): Recognize and respond to clients diverse needs.
• Job Ballyum Centre (Ireland): Ethical practice.
• CIOPS-FP (Italy): Develop one’s own capabilities and understand any limitations.
During the meeting, the following tasks that must be carried out have been established. One of them is testing the developed case studies. Each project partner has to organize a meeting with experts (guidance practitioners and training professionals). They will test the selected case study in order to ensure its pedagogical quality.
Finally, the next partnership meeting was established. It will take place in Tampere (Finland) on the 22th and 23th April. There, the results of the testing process will be commented in order to be able to develop the final version of the case studies.
