DOCUMENTA has participated in the international meeting that took place in the Romanian town of Timisoara the last week of April.
We kept up to date about the progress made regarding the needs analysis within this field, and also were established the work lines for the next outcome of the project, consisting of a family learning curriculum. This curriculum pursues the development of numeracy, literacy and ICT competencies, in those low skilled parents with children schooled. Likewise, these adults will develop the competence of “learning to learn” and will increase their understanding on school processes and pedagogies, for a greater involvement/ participation. This results in benefits for both, them and their children.
During the meeting there were also addressed issues related to the dissemination and management of the project. In addition, it was set the date for training the facilitators which will guide the pilot testing with 30 participants each on order to implement the family learning curriculum and obtain feedback for its improvement. This training will take place in August in Krakow (Poland), and it will last five days.
