The YES PACK educational materials, based on the development of key competence Sense of initiative and entrepreneurship or the ERF, to train unemployed youth are ready. Partner countries in the Leonardo da Vinci “YES: Youth unemployment: Fostering Entrepreneurial Skills” project have gathered this month, on February 18th and 19th, in Larissa (Greece) to participate in an active workshop familiarize with Athena multimedia platform, the main tool for e-learning study of the educational contents of YES PACK for young entrepreneurs.
YES PACK is a blended learning program combining in-class sessions with distance learning (e-learning) for Young entrepreneurs. The program is an entrepreneurship qualification program, with 8 modules which contain module training material, specific assignments, additional material and discussion forums: (1) Knowledge management; (2) Entrepreneurship and starting a business; (3) Risk management and business law; (4) SME marketing; (5) Business finance and economics; (6) Management of a firm; (7) SME taxation; (8) Business plan.
Throughout the project meeting organized by the Institute of Entrepreneurship Development IED (Greece) partners started the uploading of YES PACK training materials in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Greek and Turkish to Athena multimedia platform. The course will be complete an available to be used in five languages on May 1st 2014.
Likewise, during this fourth project meeting YES project partners finalized the details to conduct the YES PACK training program testing pilots, which will take place simultaneously across four courses combining in-class sessions with e-learning sessions throughout May in Spain, Greece, Portugal and Turkey.
Once the contents, materials and training tools included in YES PACK, have been tested, Documenta in collaboration with the other partners will develop a guideline that will describe the training program and tested methodology as an integrative solution, for VET providers to train young entrepreneurs, and thus alleviate youth unemployment in European countries.
Finally an ECVET curriculum for youth entrepreneur regarding EQF system will be designed.
Later this year all YES project planned works will conclude and an international conference will be held in Istanbul on October 24th 2014.
