On September 26, Documenta organized a multiplier event under the title “Tourism, a world of opportunities: The tourism sector facing the challenge of training and employment in the 21st century”.
The event, which took place at the Magdalena Palace, was organized within the framework of the Erasmus + Employer Program for Hospitality and Tourism (EPHT) project and was a success in terms of participation, with 215 registered attendants from different fields of the tourist sector (students, professors, entrepreneurs, representatives of tourist offices and Local Development Agencies …)
The main objective of the event was the dissemination of the project and the activities that have been developed throughout it, as well as the dissemination among the industry and other stakeholders in the tourism sector of the Xenios-Zeus Employment Platform, one of the main intellectual outputs that has been developed in the EPHT project.
The event started at 9:00 in the morning with an opening ceremony in which different authorities participated, including the Mayor of Santander Gema Igual, and ended around 13:30 with the extraction and presentation by the organizers of the event of a series of conclusions on the topics discussed during the morning. Immediately after, the participants enjoyed a lunch, concluding the event.
Finally, it should be noted that on the 25th, a series of workshops related to the project were organized at the School University of Tourism Altamira and the Decroly Vocational Training Center with the aim of obtaining a series of conclusions to discuss about during the multiplier event of the 26th. The workshops, with a total of 110 attendants, helped to disseminate the multiplier event, which explains the success of assistance.
