At the beginning of last week on July 9th and 10th Documenta participated at the Midterm and Research & Development meeting of the European Project Age Work Balance (AWB) hosted by CIOFFS, partner of the project, in the city of Rome.
This session concluded the Research & Development activities of AWB project, planned for the study of the development of policies for the promotion of employment of long-term unemployed aged 50 and above, in urban areas. The study followed two pathways, an internal desktop research and the implementation of 5 peer review city workshops carried out in the cities of Graz, Berlin, Hamburg, Santander and Dublin.
AWB project next steps to be taken will be the development of answers on the basis of the generated information, to elaborate 5 City models + transferrable elements, 1 Strategy paper and 1 Practical recommendation guideline. These documents will comprise the results and conclusions reached throughout the Research & Development phase.
During the meeting at CIOFFS facilities, AWB partners worked together to define the structure of the strategy paper and the different sections it will include. The main chapter of the report will describe the results of the investigation done, that will support the conclusions and recommendations addressing policy makers involved in the development of future policies stimulating the integration of older workers into the labor market.
The Project findings, reports and conclusions will be available at the project webpage: www.age-work-balance.metropolisnet.eu
During the meeting in Rome, we also outlined the next activities to be carried out for the successful development and closure of AWB project. From now to the end of the project, we will focus on the dissemination and exploitation of the project conclusions and results that will be broadly spread out at the final conference on February 2013 in Brussels.
